Art Lab for Adults with Denise Wey for Summer, 2026
Wednesdays from 2-4 pm at ASiF Studios
Three 4-week sessions:
Session 1: June 3, 10, 17 & 24 “Making Waves!”
An exploration of waves and water to become more fluent painting waves and white water in both acrylics & watercolor on canvas and paper.
Session 2: July 1, 8, 15 & 22 “Art For Well Being”
Meditative drawing and painting with watercolor and pen in an abstract style that promotes inner peace and calm in the present moment.
Session 3: July 29, Aug 5, 12, & 19 “Create: Collage, Draw & Paint!”
Experience the random generation of an image through collage that works in tangent with drawing in values to create an original and very personal painting. This method speaks to our love for all three mediums!
This curriculum is based in drawing and painting. Each session is independent of each other. We will explore various media, throughout all of the classes, such as: pencil, pens, paints; (both watercolor & acrylics) and collage. These classes are meant to be easy-access that give students the solid foundation that all artists utilize in their creative expression! Universal principles of art-making are incorporated into these lessons, while encouraging experimentation and discovery.
Beginners are most welcome and more advanced students can take their knowledge to the next level.
