Welcome to the world of clay and creativity! These classes offer hands-on opportunities for students to explore ceramics in a supportive studio environment while developing their skills, creativity, and confidence.

👐 Handbuilding

Students learn a variety of handbuilding techniques—including pinching, coiling, slab construction, joining, sculpting, and surface decoration—to create unique, one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces. Projects and instruction are tailored to each age group, allowing students to build skills at an appropriate level while having plenty of room for creativity.

Mommy & Me Tactile Clay Play

Ages 3–5

A playful introduction to the sensory world of clay! This class is all about exploration rather than making finished projects. Children are encouraged to squish, roll, pinch, poke, press, and manipulate clay freely as they discover its texture and possibilities.

This is not a project-based class, and children will not create pieces to take home. Instead, clay is used as an open-ended sensory material for hands-on play and experimentation. This relaxed approach helps develop fine motor skills, encourage creativity, and build confidence while allowing little ones to simply enjoy the experience of playing with clay.

Come get messy, explore, and discover just how much fun clay can be!

Little Clay Makers

Ages 5–7

A playful, guided introduction to handbuilding for young artists! Little Clay Makers is a follow-along class where everyone creates a new, age-appropriate ceramic project each week. Children will learn foundational techniques such as pinching, rolling, coiling, joining, texturing, and sculpting while adding their own creative details to each project.

No previous clay experience is needed—just bring your imagination and get ready to get your hands messy!

🍃 Into the Wild

Explore the natural world through clay! Young artists will create woodland animals, garden friends, and other nature-inspired projects while learning the basics of handbuilding. Each week brings a new guided project with opportunities to add personality and imaginative details.

🎃 Spooky Season

Get ready for some not-so-spooky clay fun! Friendly ghosts, silly monsters, pumpkins, and other Halloween-inspired creations come to life in this playful session. Children will explore sculpting, texture, and simple construction techniques while following along with each week's project.

🍂❄️ Cozy Season

Celebrate the transition from fall to winter with a collection of warm and whimsical clay creations. Projects are inspired by pumpkins, woodland friends, and wintertime fun while introducing new handbuilding techniques and encouraging children to personalize their work.

Kids Clay

Ages 8–12

Kids Clay gives young artists more opportunities to experiment, build, and develop their own ideas through ceramics. Each session features a new theme with projects that introduce more advanced construction, sculpting, texture, and surface decoration techniques. Guided demonstrations provide the foundation, while students have more freedom to personalize their work and make creative choices.

No previous experience is required.

🌎 Around the World

Take a creative journey around the globe! Explore ceramic traditions, patterns, objects, and artistic inspiration from different cultures through a series of hands-on projects. Students will experiment with construction, texture, sculptural techniques, and surface decoration while discovering how clay is used around the world.

🎃 Spooky Season

Bring your imagination to life with four weeks of spooky clay creations! Projects may include haunted houses, mysterious creatures, pumpkins, cauldrons, and other creepy-cool creations. Students will practice handbuilding, sculpting, construction, texture, and surface decoration while putting their own creative spin on each piece.

🍂❄️ Cozy Season

Celebrate the changing seasons through clay! Inspired by pumpkins, woodland imagery, and wintertime traditions, students will create a collection of warm and whimsical ceramic pieces while exploring new techniques and developing their individual ideas.

Advanced Clay Studio

Ages 13–17

Take your clay skills to the next level in this six-week, studio-style class for teens with previous ceramics experience. Rather than everyone completing the same project, each class introduces a new technique or concept that students can apply to projects of their own choosing.

Students have the freedom to explore handbuilding, wheel throwing, sculptural forms, functional pottery, surface design, and glazing while developing their own ideas and artistic voice. Weekly demonstrations and creative challenges introduce new skills, while most of the class is dedicated to independent studio work with individualized guidance.

Topics may include advanced handbuilding, wheel throwing, altering forms, sculptural construction, carving, texture, handles and lids, surface decoration, glazing, and finishing techniques. Returning students can continue developing their skills and take on new challenges with each session.

Prerequisite: Previous pottery or ceramics experience is required. Students should be comfortable with basic clay handling, construction, and studio practices.
