Join Resident Artists Sharon Yonenaka and Lani Zila for a special two-day immersive experience in handmade papermaking and relief printmaking!

Saturday: Under Sharon’s guidance, participants learn traditional and experimental papermaking techniques—pulling sheets, adding inclusions, and exploring color and texture to create a set of unique handmade papers.

Sunday: Lani leads the relief printmaking portion, where students carve their own block designs and print onto the papers created the day before.

Perfect for beginners and experienced artists looking to explore the beautiful relationship between paper and print!

Explore the sculptural side of paper in this creative two-day workshop!

Day 1: Learn the art of papermaking—pulling sheets, adding texture and color, and experimenting with fibers to create your own handmade paper.

Day 2: Shift from flat to dimensional as we dive into paper mâché and paper clay sculpting. Participants build small sculptures, vessels, or expressive forms using recycled materials and paper-based clays.
A fun, eco-friendly workshop that transforms simple pulp into imaginative, tactile artworks!
