You know how everyone ends up in the kitchen at parties? The heart of the hearth,
the sustenance, the home. I paint spaces where I spend my time. My favorite? Kitchens.
Soup and stew nourish our bellies. Art nourishes our souls. See you in the Kitchen!
Join us for a soulful paint adventure, using acrylics on black canvas. All levels welcome,
(especially beginners) and all supplies included. Bring a lunch and wear old clothes!
Two local artists lead this unique workshop together at ASiF Studios in Grass Valley CA.
All supplies included-small group-register early!

Denise will share some steps to show how she began to learn to paint rocks under water.
Working on a 12x16, students will paint along with the instructor, step-by-step, on a painting that has key river elements such as rocks, river water with reflections and depth and foliage.
All materials are provided but you may want to bring your own paints and brushes if you have some. Dive In and enjoy!

RIVER LAB - (Six Weekly Painting Classes)
Sunday Mornings from 9:30-11:30 AM
July 19, 26, Aug 2, 9, 16 & 23

Paint your own photo of the river in this six-week session.
The instructor will provide a 20 minute demo in each class
of key aspects of painting the river, such as; starting with a
value underpainting, color-mixing, rocks, foliage and river water.

Students will work on a 12x16 gallery wrapped canvas with Nova
Color paints and will be given a 7x10 Canson XL MM Journal.
These supplies are included in the tuition fee, however it is
strongly encouraged to bring your own brushes, though we will
have used loaner brushes available.
