See your local environment as an entirely new place to explore… In this class we’ll work with invasive and non-invasive plants for our papermaking fiber. We will prepare one raw plant material in class, start to finish, by cooking, cleaning, beating the fiber by hand, and exploring sheet formation, creative applications, and drying options. I will also bring a few more nearly prepared local fibers to class so that we can continue processing and learn about different fiber choices. You will leave newly inspired for your backyard foraging journeys.
This class does vary seasonally, can be repeated, and is perfect for any level of papermaking experience.
Please bring your lunch/snacks/drink.
