The rich history of oil painting spans hundreds of years. This flexible medium satisfies any preference, from detailed and refined to expressive and textured.

Beginner to intermediate students begin with simple compositions and scenes, experimenting with mixing and gradually increasing complexity through the practice of various techniques. Practice studies of different pictorial elements, such as rocks or clouds gear students toward combining the elements of their paintings into dynamic compositions.
