PRIVATE RESIDENT STUDIOS: $2.15 per square foot
SHARED CERAMICS STUDIO: $175 per month + $25 Tech Fee = $200 (not including clay + firing)
OPEN STUDIO / ART GROUP CLASSROOM RENTAL: $30 per month, per participant for four 3 hr weekly sessions.
CLASSROOM RENTAL FOR TEACHERS: $12 Per hour for one classroom + $8 per hour for additional classroom.
RESIDENT & TEACHER / PROGRAM PROMOTIONAL SERVICES: $30 per hour
JANITORIAL, MAINTENANCE & SUPPLIES: Add $10 per month per Resident Artist to all Private & Shared Studio Rentals
FACILITY RENTAL FOR PRIVATE EVENTS: $200 per event + $40 Cleaning Fee/Waived for DIY'ers
GALLERY RENTAL FOR GROUP EXHIBITS: $100 per week/$400 per month (Full month rental Includes promotional work, press release article and Eblast to ASiF's 2000 recipient email list) - Contact Amanda for more information at amandapaolett.asif @gmail.com
Resident Artist Benefits:
24 hr keyed access to the building and use of studio owned equipment
Wireless Internet Access (Wifi is free to the public at ASiF, no password needed)
Reduced rates on gallery show participation for individual resident rents upward of $100 ($20 vs. Standard $40 entry fee)
Reduced commissions on gallery and studio sales for individual resident rents upward of $100 (PRIVATE STUDIO SALES:20% vs. Standard 40%)
Reduced rates (50% discount) on gallery rental for exhibits and events for individual resident rents upward of $100 ($200 per month + $25 cleaning fee vs. Standard $400 per month +$25 cleaning fee for non residents)
Spontaneous use of 3 large classroom spaces for larger projects at no additional cost when rooms are not rented (Check google calendar for unreserved times)
Use of kitchen and all appliances (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettles)
Reduced rates on promotional services including website page changes, posts, press release articles, and other social media work. ($30 per hour vs $60 per hour for non residents).
Resident Artist Responsibilities:
Participate/be represented at Seasonal open house - studio events by being present,
making/working in your space, and or offering demonstrations.
Securing of the building on entry and exit: Check and lock all 4 exterior doors (except the gallery
when an attendant is present during open gallery hours) each time you enter and exit the building!
Conserve energy costs: Check & turn OFF classroom lights, thermostats and space heaters as
often as possible and or when rooms are vacant.
Keep private studio spaces clean and tidy and with appropriate security for your belongings with
regard to public browsing and access to your space during open gallery hours.
Maintain good etiquette and cleanliness with regard to use of community space including
classrooms and all common areas.
Keep kitchen clean, wash your own dishes, and remove food items from refrigerator before
Participate in refrigerator cleaning, defrosting as needed.
Empty community space trash and recycling as needed into large receptacles outside ceramics classroom door.
Keep Amanda informed of needed supplies, bulbs, signage, security issues, etc.
Perform art center/gallery attendant duty at least 2 Saturdays per year (Saturday hours
are 11am - 4pm) & help support extended holiday hours as needed.
Participation in resident meetings (every one to three months)
Participation in event and exhibit planning, coordinating, set up, break down, etc.
Rent & Dues to be paid on the 1st of the month using and covering all items listed on the resident form located in the rent binder kept on Amanda's desk. These items are:
$2.15 per square foot, per studio, per month
$5 monthly, per resident for promotional and advertising expenses
$5 monthly, per resident for janitorial services for common areas
$12 seasonally (4 x per year) for Open House - Resident Artist & Instructor Promotions
$10 annually, per resident to support one local arts festival booth
$20 annually, per resident for Open Studios Art Tour Guide Ad (Not applicable to residents purchasing solo ads)
- 20% commission on gallery and private studio sales and 30% on sales for works displayed/sold out of the gallery. For sales that go through you instead of the gallery, please do not include the ASiF gallery commission in your rent check, but rather write a separate check so it can be deposited in ASiF's separate gallery account.Use the Monthly Rent & Dues Invoice form to record payments made directly to you by customers, listing monthly commissions paid in support of ASiF. If you send your customer to the gallery attendant to handle a purchase, they will record the sale for you, payment will go through ASiF and you'll be paid for sales between the 1st and 10th of the following month. Note: ASiF will also handle receipt and payment of sales tax for sales handled by gallery attendants and paid through ASiF gallery account.
